Re: Randall Harold "Duke" Cunningham (Federal Prisoner #94405-198) and other criminals
Date: April 19th, 2007
Mr. Kolender,
Your letter of April 11th, 2007 to my wife does not acknowledge a single fact. Instead, it is a ball of libelous mud thrown back at us, without substance. Your letter seems to have been written by someone who was PURPOSEFULLY obfuscating. While it acknowledges that we did NOT lie about everything, nevertheless, as surely as Cho's classwork hinted at the coming violence that he would bring, YOUR letter IMPLIES that we lied about SOMETHING or brought forth SOMETHING that was not important enough to be included in a complaint, neither of which is true. Your letter is nothing more than an attempt to complete the botched and arrogant cover-up that began November 25th, 2005 shortly after 8:35 pm, and continues to this day.
I KNOW who was driving that Chevy Tracker that night -- Randall "Duke" Cunningham. I didn't recognize him then, but I recognized his suicidal / homicidal intentions as he came at us. Your actions are also protecting the Capital psychiatrist in Washington, D.C., who secured a promise from Cunningham (which Cunningham violated that night) not to act on his "suicidal ideations."
Immediately after the accident, I recognized that the SDCSD was NOT interested in identifying the other driver and I began trying to identify the other vehicle, in an attempt to find the driver on my own. This effort began immediately when I got home the night of the accident and continued throughout the weekend. I RECOGNIZED the other driver -- then-Congressman Cunningham -- when he appeared on television three days later (November 28th, 2005), confessed to accepting bribes, and resigned.
The only rational way to explain the SDCSD's strange behavior, culminating in your strange letter, is that your staff CAUGHT Mr. Cunningham and then immediately released him without charges on Friday evening, November 25th, 2005, and immediately proceeded with the cover-up.
Specific questions that should have been answered by your IA investigation include: Was Commander Quaco reprimanded for tampering with witnesses? It's what he did, at the very least. Was Bennetts (sp) punished for lying when she claimed that the San Marcos Sheriff's Department gives equal treatment to Congressmen and common citizens alike? Was Kelleher forced to fill out the proper paperwork at last? Was Hensley reprimanded for attempting to intimidate my wife over the phone last summer, in a last-ditch effort to prevent a formal investigation? Did Kelleher confess to trying to call me about six times in two hours later that same day? WHO actually found Cunningham? WHO was the first officer to talk to him after his rampage?
And DID you figure out who stopped by the accident scene on November 25th, 2005, a little after 9:00 pm, pretending to be a "good Samaritan?" Was he FBI, off-duty SMSD, or what? These are some of the fundamental questions that your letter does not address, let alone answer.
As far as my wife can tell (except for her trust in me), it was the Queen of England who was driving that other car. She didn't see whoever-it-was that flashed by. Too scared to look, I guess. But, after evading him by the skin of our teeth, I LOOKED. So I KNOW it WASN'T the Queen of England. It was my own Congressman!
Steve Verret IS the best driving instructor in the country. His videos save lives. How many people will die because he hasn't received the national recognition he deserves for the training I got by watching his videos, shown only on LOCAL (Carlsbad) television? These videos teach one not to be an aggressive driver, how to handle a suicidal head-on driver, AND the incredible importance of braking early when one sees trouble ahead. I needed ALL these lessons to beat Cunningham that night. Rather than congratulate Mr. Verret and acknowledge the incredible value of his training, YOU would rather protect a bunch of liars.
"Celebrity Justice" is NOT a law -- it is a crime. Harboring an attempted murderer is ALSO a crime. Doing so under color of authority is ALSO a crime. And finally, violating a citizen's civil rights is ALSO a crime.
I charge you with knowingly and purposefully perpetuating a gross miscarriage of justice.
Sincerely,
Ace Hoffman
